Founding Partner, Posaidon Capital
Fabian Huwyler is a founding partner at Posaidon Capital, a green finance boutique fully dedicated to creating scalable investment solutions in nature. Prior to Posaidon, Fabian worked at Credit Suisse for over 13 years in a number of different senior management functions. Most recently as Head of Green Solutions, he led the Bank's efforts globally around financial solutions that benefit both the green and blue economies. Fabian has been a pioneer in the field of conservation finance. He is the first author of two seminal research reports issued in 2014 and 2016, which have defined the market potential for investments in nature. Fabian was also instrumental in developing and structuring the Nature Conservation Notes, the first conservation investment product launched by any bank globally. The product was awarded with the Environmental Finance Forestry Deal of the Year 2015. Fabian is a co-founder and steering committee member of the Coalition for Private Investment in Conservation (CPIC). For his contributions to the market overall, he was named a Champion of Global Impact Banking by Euromoney in September 2018. Fabian holds an MA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Berne (Switzerland), and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Yale University. Mr. Huwyler serves on the Convergence Funding Committee for the Asia Natural Capital Design Funding Window.
