Financing & Innovation in Global Health (FIGH) 2016, aimed to spark the deployment of blended finance, creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology to drive effective and transformative global health investment. FIGHT connected global health investors from the public, private, and philanthropic sectors across all asset classes to build a global health marketplace in which reimagined financial models, novel technologies, and uncommon partnerships can harness untapped potential to address the world’s most urgent health challenges. FIGH 2016 was convened by the Global Development Incubator (GDI) and Convergence, with support from anchor sponsor Johnson & Johnson, and in partnership with USAID, US Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center, Office of the UN Special Envoy for Financing the Health Millennium Development Goals, and Harvard Global Health Institute. Through featuring an action‐oriented series of town halls, interactive workshops, investment circles, interviews, and plenaries, FIGH 2016 showcased current and future innovations in the global health marketplace.
