This seminar will focus on how blended finance addresses SDG 15 – Life on Land.

Over 2.5-hours (150 minutes), this interactive seminar will cover:

  • The current market demands, rationale, and considerations for deal sponsors as well as investors to leverage blended finance in support of regenerating and protecting Life on Land.
  • Case studies and trend analysis on blended finance transactions that address SDG 15 and how this goal is inter-linked with other SDGs.
  • Recommendations and learnings from organisations actively engaged in blended finance transactions aimed at promoting sustainable land use and conservation.

Participants will get an overview of how concerns about the health of our terrestrial ecosystems are influencing the market and why investors are attracted to innovative blended finance structures to drive more private sector capital towards supporting these initiatives. Participants will be invited to engage directly with the Convergence team as well as expert practitioners in the field to better understand the challenges and opportunities of blended finance investments in this space. This is the third seminar in our four-part series, “Leveraging Blended Finance to achieve the UN SDGs”.

The training has limited space to ensure an intensive and practice-driven learning experience. Each Convergence member organization has two complimentary seats in each training, please apply the discount code you received by e-mail. Non-members can register for a fee of USD150.
