Nick O’Donohoe joins CDC Group as CEO, Rick Nogueira joins Convergence Funding Committee

Nick O’Donohoe has stepped down from his role as a Convergence Funding Committee member following his appointment as the new CEO of the CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution. Nick joined CDC in June 2017 and will lead the group’s efforts to scale up work in Africa and South Asia.

Nick brought invaluable expertise to the Funding Committee from his 30+ year career in financial services, impact investing and international development. Prior to CDC, he was Senior Advisor for Blended Finance at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. His previous positions include CEO of Big Society Capital, Global Head of Research at JP Morgan, and various roles at Goldman Sachs.

In Nick’s place, Convergence is pleased to announce that Rick Nogueira will be joining as the newest Funding Committee member. A lawyer by training, Rick brings extensive transaction experience in renewable energy and climate finance. He previously served as Senior Climate Finance Officer for the U.S. Department of State and represented the U.S. on the Green Climate Fund's Board. Prior to that, he headed EEA Fund Management North America, where he led the fund’s private equity investments in clean energy in North and Latin America.
