We'll be at SOCAP19 in San Francisco this year with our panel: Let's make a deal: structuring blended finance deals for impact.

The panel will bring together our CEO Joan Larrea, Shilpa Patel of Climate Works Foundation, Shruti Chandrasekhar of IFC/World Bank Group, MaryKate Bullen of New Forests, and Amy Wang of PG Impact Investments to discuss the nuts and bolts of how blended finance vehicles are structured for impact.

Specifically, the panel will focus on the phenomenon of fund managers who launched purely commercial funds in the first instance, but subsequently introduced a blended fund in an effort to simultaneously scale up and deepen impact. We’ll look at how blending made it possible for these fund managers to reset their strategies and invest in earlier-stage and riskier ventures.
