Convergence is part of a collective of organizations that is jointly organizing a three-day executive program on Impact Investment & Blended Finance for Development Agencies & Foundations that will provide valuable insights on how you can use public and/or philanthropic funds to attract private investments towards sustainable development.
The program is organized by Convergence, Roots of Impact (Social Finance Academy) and University of Zurich Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP), with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). It will take place from 29 to 31 August at the University of Zurich.
This hands-on learning experience will deliver practical, actionable and relevant knowledge on how to mobilize private investment for sustainable development and use catalytic financing solutions for creating impact at scale, including:
- The role of the private sector for achieving the SDGs - case studies and best practices
- Introduction to impact investing and blended finance
- Different approaches to attracting private capital
- Choosing the right instrument to catalyze private investment
- Pay-for-success instruments
