In 2018, Convergence awarded Clean Energy Works a design stage grant to design a blended solution using the PAYS® model for clean transport, to reduce diesel emissions and accelerate the electrification of transportation to advance Sustainable Development Goal 7–Affordable & Clean Energy.

Earlier this year, Clean Energy Works completed their feasibility study in Lima, Peru, and published their findings based on their initial project for transit buses. To learn more about their design funding experience, we recently connected with Clean Energy Work's Executive Director, Holmes Hummel and International Program Director, Margarita Parra, who walked us through their journey.

Convergence is committed to accelerate blended finance solutions designed to attract greater private capital and financing to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Until September 15, Convergence is accepting applications for its Asia Natural Capital Window, to provide grant funding for the design and launch of catalytic blended finance solutions focused on natural capital in Asia.
