Blending with Design and Preparation-stage Grants (Asia/West Coast)

Thursday, July 30th, 9am – 11:30am SGT (GMT+8)

Registration closed. This seminar is at full capacity.

Blending with Design and Preparation-stage Grants is a 2.5-hour (150 minutes) interactive seminar that will cover:

  • How project preparation grants and design funding are used to mobilize additional private sector financing
  • The potential of early-stage grants to accelerate the blended finance market
  • Case studies on programs that leverage preparation-stage grants and design funding to build a pipeline of investable projects/funds/companies
  • Recommendations to practitioners on deploying these grants effectively

Blended finance transactions can be complex, time intensive, and highly costly to structure and launch. Preparation grants support technical studies to prove a project’s viability. Design funding is used for feasibility studies, to assess the bankability of a transaction, or proof of concept, to complete design and structuring activities to launch a transaction. Both types of grants are instrumental in building the pipeline of investable opportunities.

This is the third seminar in our four-part seminar series “A Closer Look at Blended Finance Instruments". Even if you missed previous seminars, you are welcome to register.

The training has limited space to ensure a personal, intensive and practice-driven learning experience. All participants will receive the presentation slides afterwards. We recommend that no more than two representatives from each organization attend.
