__About this event__</br>
Following the success of the first and second calls for proposals, the [SDG Impact Finance Initiative](https://www.sdgimpactfinance.org/) (“the Initiative”) has announced a third call for proposals targeting a new set of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Under this third call for proposals, with support from Convergence, the Initiative will award grant funding for feasibility studies, proof of concept activities and expansion of existing solutions. Proposed solutions should target one or more of SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). Convergence supports the Initiative in the pre-selection of applications and the engagement with the applicants during the selection process.

__ABOUT THE SDG IMPACT FINANCE INITIATIVE__</br>
The SDG Impact Finance Initiative supports the development and scaling of innovative finance solutions that mobilize private capital and contribute to measurable results in line with the SDGs in developing countries. The initiative strengthens the impact finance ecosystem globally as a public-private partnership is funded by the [State Secretariat for Economic Affairs](https://www.seco-cooperation.admin.ch/) (SECO), the [Swiss Development Cooperation Agency](https://www.eda.admin.ch/) (SDC), the [UBS Optimus Foundation](https://www.ubs.com/global/en/ubs-society/philanthropy/optimus-foundation.html), and the [Grandy Duchy of Luxembourg.](https://mfin.gouvernement.lu/en.html) The initiative aims to deploy 100 million Swiss francs of catalytic funding to mobilize 1 billion Swiss francs of private capital to the SDGs by 2030.
