 “Inside the deal” is our quarterly webinar series where we delve into the inner workings of real blended finance transactions. Each quarter, Convergence will feature a deal that has achieved at least achieved one financial close and provide our members with an opportunity to candidly engage with the deal sponsor as well as other relevant stakeholders, on their experience structuring the transaction.

This webinar will focus on the Catalyst MENA Clean Energy Fund (CMCF). CMCF is a fund that focuses on backing solar PV projects in the MENA region, with a primary focus in Jordan. It also evaluates investments in SMEs serving clean energy, energy efficiency, and water markets within the broader MENA region and internationally. CMCF is blended using technical assistance.

This hour-long webinar will include:

- An overview of the fund design and fundraising experience from the CMCF team
- Convergence-led Interview with key stakeholders involved in the transaction on lessons learned 
- Open Q&A
