This report provides recommendations to donors, including Global Affairs Canada (GAC), on how to facilitate Women Climate Entrepreneurs (WCEs)’ access to appropriate climate finance, contributing to greater equality and inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa. It suggests that blended finance mechanisms coupled with grants to achieve desired outcomes.
Following a presentation of key research findings, a series of recommended solutions are presented that lay out the role of various ecosystem actors in contributing to lasting, large-scale and beneficial change for WCEs.
