Jinita Prasad is a financial sector consultant who has worked extensively with development partners and programs across the Pacific Island economies, focusing on impact investment, blended finance, gender lens investing, and, more recently, climate finance. Over the years, she has delivered programs with the Asian Development Bank, Pacific Private Sector Development Initiative, UN Capital Development Fund, and Criterion Institute, as well as programs funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, supporting MSME entrepreneurship, access to finance, and institutional capacity development in the region. She has also contributed to sustainable finance initiatives for conservation organisations such as WWF and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.

Jinita currently serves on the boards of VB Holdings Ltd, a publicly listed company in Fiji, and the Urgent Action Fund Asia and Pacific, which supports the resilience and resistance of women and non-binary human rights defenders. She also serves on several advisory boards, including the Pacific Feminist Fund, and has previously held senior management positions in the financial sector, including as CEO of the South Pacific Stock Exchange in Fiji.
