David has over 20 years of experience developing partnerships that bring together the private sector, government, and civil society to help solve the world’s most challenging development problems. Prior to joining Convergence David was the Director of Donor Partnerships at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) - A Canadian Crown Corporation. While at IDRC, David helped build global partnerships that addressed issues such as food security, climate change adaptation, global health and social economic policy. He also managed a capacity building program that supported research institutions to improve their resource mobilization capacities. David began his career working at CIBC World Markets. David holds a Masters of Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western University.
