Ilsa is a Senior Associate on the Content team at Convergence. Based in Toronto, she produces market research, data analysis, and publications on blended finance that include actionable insights to mobilize private investment in emerging markets and developing economies. Ilsa also worked out of Convergence’s regional office in Singapore for several months, supporting the firm’s initiatives across South and Southeast Asia, including on-the-ground stakeholder engagement and capacity-building activities. Prior to joining Convergence, Ilsa worked in the Canadian public sector as a Junior Policy Analyst at Indigenous Services Canada on the National Residential Schools Secretariat. This body was established to address the destructive legacy of the Canadian Residential School system, with a focus on advancing reconciliation and improving socio-economic outcomes in First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. She also served as a Program Assistant at the Lands and Economic Development Directorate in British Columbia, where she supported programs and services aimed at fostering economic and business development within First Nations communities across the province. Ilsa holds a Master’s in Global Affairs from the Munk School at the University of Toronto, a Master’s in Public Policy from the SciencesPo School of Public Affairs in Paris, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies and Political Science from McGill University.
